On July 8, 2002, an FDA advisory committee heard evidence from breast
implant manufacturers that studies had shown that as many as 25%

surgery within five years of operation. Breast implants are currently
made by two manufacturers, Mentor and McGhan. .(full

Saline Filled Breast Implant
Results at Cosmetic Surgical Center Reported
In
a recent edition of the American Journal of Cosmetic Surgery, the
results of 9 years experience using saline filled breast implants
at The Facial Plastic & Cosmetic Surgical Center were reported.

Liposuction leads to increased
popularity of arm reduction
Concern about large, bulky upper arms has brought many patients
to our Center over the years. Many have been discouraged by the
need for long incisions required in classical arm reduction techniques.
Newer techniques of liposuction have allowed us to successfully
treat many of these patients without these incisions.(full

Concerns persist regarding
rupture of old gel filled breast implants
It has now been ten years since the general use of gel filled
breast implants has ended. Except for unusual circumstances, patients
in the US all receive saline filled implants. Although admittedly,
there is a higher incidence of rippling, or surface irregularity,
with these implants, the added safety more than offsets this disadvantage.(full

Home skin care program
available from our Center
An advantageous adjunct to cosmetic surgery is skin treatment
with alpha hydroxy acids (AHAs). This can be used before and after
cosmetic facial surgery, to enhance the results and to aid in
the healing process, but they are also useful by themselves in
many situations. We are pleased to offer a program of skin care
based on the use of alpha hydroxy acid at our Center. This program
can be carried out at home by the purchase of products from the
Center, such as those shown here.

Picking your breast implant size
One of the most important issues in breast augmentation surgery
is size. Very often, patients who are having breast augmentation
surgery feel that there is an ideal breast size that can be determined
by the surgeon. Nothing could be farther from the truth. The
choice of breast size is a very individual decision that can
only be made by the patient.(full
