This section, (together with the documents referred to on it) tells you about the terms and conditions on which we supply any of the products (Products) listed on our website www.newlook.com (our site) and the terms of use on which you may make use of our social media site www.daily.newlook.com (NL Daily).Please read these terms and conditions carefully before using either of our sites or ordering any Products.

  • Terms of sale

    • Tracking your order

      Log into your Account, select Order History and click on the relevant ‘View Order’ link. All delivery options are fully trackable for the UK. Click on the ‘Track My Order’ link on the homepage and input your tracking number to follow your parcels journey to you. The courier will provide you with an email and text message with delivery details.

      Unfortunately we do not currently offer tracking for International standard orders. Express Delivery for Ireland, France and Germany is fully trackable. Click on the ‘Track My Order’ link on the homepage and input your tracking number to follow your parcels journey to you. The courier will provide you with an email and text message with delivery details.

    • Information about us

      www.newlook.com is a site operated by New Look Retailers Limited (we, our, us). We are registered in England and Wales under company number 1618428. Our Value Added Tax number is GB 429214460

    • Ordering products

      After placing an order, you will receive an email from us acknowledging that we have safely received it. This does not mean that your order has been accepted. All orders are subject to acceptance by us, and we will send you a second email to confirm acceptance and dispatch of your order. The contract between us (Contract) will only be made when we send you this email to confirm acceptance and dispatch. Only those products listed in the email as being dispatched will be included in the Contract.

    • Availability

      All items are subject to stock availability. We will inform you as soon as possible if all the products in your order are not available and we will cancel your order. If only some of the products in your order are available this will be explained in your acceptance and dispatch email. If you pay by credit, debit or store card we will not charge you for products which are not available. If you pay using PayPal, a New Look gift card or a New Look eGift card any payment made for products which are not available will be credited back to your PayPal account, New Look gift card or New Look eGift card (as applicable). If you paid with a combination of payment card and Gift Card, we'll refund anything you paid for with your Gift Card first, and then refund any outstanding credit you are owed on to your original payment card.

    • Ordering errors

      You are able to make changes to your order up to the point at which you click on the "submit order" button on the Payment & Confirm section of the checkout process.

    • Prices

      Please be aware that the prices displayed on our site include Value Added Tax where applicable but exclude delivery costs, which will be added to the total amount due. The applicable delivery costs will be clearly displayed during the checkout process.
      Due to the large number of products on our site, it is always possible that some of the products listed on our site may be incorrectly priced, despite our best efforts. If we discover there is a pricing error, we will normally, at our discretion, either: (i) contact you and give you the option of reconfirming your order at the correct price or cancelling it; or (ii) reject your order and notify you of the rejection.

    • Payment

      We accept payment with the following credit or debit cards: Visa credit and debit cards, MasterCard credit and debit cards, American Express credit and Charge Cards, Switch/Maestro debit cards, Visa Electron cards. We also accept payment by New Look store card, New Look gift cards, New Look eGift cards and PayPal. Please note that if you wish to pay for your products using PayPal, and you do not already have an existing PayPal account, you will be required to set up a new account with PayPal directly. Presently, we do not accept cash, cheques or gift vouchers as payment online. By submitting an order to us through our site, you are confirming that the payment details provided on your order are valid and correct. All transactions will be in pounds sterling. Non-UK credit card providers and banks will determine the exchange rates to be applied and may add an additional processing or administration charge in relation to such payments which non-UK card holders will be liable to pay. We will not charge your credit, debit or store card until we dispatch your order. Any order placed using PayPal, a New Look gift card or New Look eGift card will be charged at the time your order is submitted. If we reject or cancel your order for any reason this charge will be credited back to your PayPal account, New Look gift card or New Look eGift card (as applicable). Please note that items bought via PayPal can only be refunded using gift vouchers if they are returned to a store. Items returned by post will be refunded to your PayPal account. Please keep your New Look gift card / New Look eGift card safe. We will only refund to the same New Look gift card or New Look eGift card you used for payment.

    • Student Discount In Store and Online

      1. Student discount entitles a student cardholder to a saving of 10% (or 20 % during specific promotional periods) on a single transaction off full price and/or promotional items only. Includes Limited Edition and Concession items. This excludes permanently reduced items. Student discount is valid in all New Look stores in UK and ROI and online at newlook.com.

      2. Student discount cannot be used to purchase New Look Gift Vouchers, New Look Gift Cards or New Look eGift cards. Cannot be used towards payment of any outstanding balance on a New Look Store card. Cannot be used in conjunction with any press, magazine, discount (including New Look staff discount card) or any other promotion (including New Look Store Card). Customers can receive student discount online.

      3. A current valid student card must be shown at time of purchase in store. To qualify for the online student discount, a valid student card number must be stored against the user's account prior to checkout. The number will expire at the end of the academic year (31 August) and must be re-saved.

      4. A valid student card is a card that clearly identifies the holder as being a student of further or higher education aged 16+. If the card has a photo it must match the customer and if there is a date it must not have expired. Valid Student ID includes but is not restricted to 'NUS Extra' and 'ISIC' cards, cards issued by 'Student Discounts' (including the Nat West student 16-25 Railcard) and ID from any individual further or higher educational institutions (including the Young Scots card as long as the card holder is aged 16+)

      5. New Look reserve the right to refuse any ID that they deem invalid or fraudulent - photocopied, defaced or expired student cards will not be accepted.

      6. Student discount may be withdrawn at any time at New Look's discretion.

      7. The return value of the item(s) purchased using this discount shall be the applicable return value under New Look's return policy less the percentage discount obtained.

    • GENERAL TERMS AND CONDITIONS

      • eGift cards

        1. eGift cards can be purchased online at newlookgiftcards.com.

        2. eGift cards can be redeemed online at newlook.com (subject to website terms and conditions) or in UK New Look stores.

        3. To purchase the eGift card, add the eGift card to your basket. When your order has been processed and we have taken payment you or the recipient of your order will receive an email (within 48 hours from the time of purchase) containing a link to the purchased eGift card.

        4. New Look accepts no responsibility for the customer inputting the incorrect email address to which the eGift card should be delivered.

        5. eGift cards may be exchanged for goods of a higher price than the face value of the eGift card on payment of the difference.

        6. If you do not spend the entire balance on the eGift card the remaining balance will be updated after each transaction.

        7. If any product purchased with an eGift card is subsequently exchanged for a product of a lower price or a refund, any money owing will be added to the remaining balance on the eGift card.

        8. eGift cards have a maximum value limit of £500. eGift cards can be topped up to that maximum value limit.

        9. eGift cards will be valid for 18 months from the last transaction (transactions include balance enquiries). Any remaining balance will be cancelled on expiry of the validity period.

        11. eGift cards cannot be exchanged for cash or used towards payment of any outstanding balance on a New Look Store Card.

        12. Please treat eGift cards as cash. New Look will not accept liability for lost, stolen or damaged eGift cards.

        13. New Look reserves the right to amend the terms and conditions or eGift cards at any time and to take appropriate action, including the cancellation of the eGift cards if, at its discretion, it deems such action necessary. This does not affect your legal rights.

Qualifying items includes all full priced and promotional items (including Idol, Giles, Limited Edition) but excludes all permanently reduced items, mens and concessions. Qualifying spend excludes the original price of the item.

        2. This offer is valid in participating New Look stores within the UK and ROI for the dates specified in the promotion.

        3. This offer can be claimed online.

        4. The following will not count as qualifying items under this promotion: purchases of New Look Gift Vouchers or Gift Cards and payments towards any outstanding balance on a New Look Store Card.

If you do not purchase enough items to qualify for the discount; the items will be charged at their normal price (for example, if the multi-buy promotion is 'buy 3 x £5 t-shirts for £12' and you purchase 2 t-shirts you will be charged £10).     • Delivery

      Although we can deliver to the Scottish Highlands & Islands, Northern Island, Isle of Man, Isles of Scilly, the Channel Islands and British Forces Post Office (BFPO) addresses, delivery to these locations may take a little longer.
      When you have chosen the products you want to buy from us, the delivery address will default automatically to the billing address you have entered for your payment card. If you want us to deliver your order to a different address, you can choose this option as you go through the checkout process.

      All delivery options are fully trackable for the UK. Click on the ‘Track My Order’ link on the homepage and input your tracking number to follow your parcels journey to you. The courier will provide you with an email and text message with delivery details.

      UK Mainland Nominated Day Delivery Your order will be delivered on the day you choose. Delivery can be selected for up to seven valid delivery days in the future, from the next available delivery day. Orders placed by 8pm (Mon - Fri, & Sun) will be delivered the next day and orders placed after 8pm (Mon - Fri, & Sun) will be delivered the day after next. For orders placed on Saturday the first available delivery day is Monday and for orders placed on Sunday up to 8pm, a Monday delivery is available. After 8pm on a Sunday the next available day for delivery is Tuesday. There are no deliveries on Sunday or bank holidays and orders placed on a bank holiday do not qualify for next day delivery e.g. an order placed any time on a bank holiday Monday will be delivered on Wednesday.

      Although we will make every reasonable effort to ensure your products are delivered within the set timescales, unfortunately we cannot guarantee that they will not be affected by unforeseen issues affecting our delivery partner. Under these circumstances, delivery charges will not normally be refunded.

    • Deliveries outside of the UK

      Due to customs, legal, regulatory and certain practical restrictions applicable to orders placed for non-UK deliveries, some of our products may not be available for delivery to certain destinations outside of the UK. We reserve the right to define what can and cannot be delivered to destinations outside of the UK.
      Please note that many countries have import restrictions on certain products or materials. The products you order for delivery to destinations outside the UK may be subject to duties or taxes upon importation. These duties or taxes are levied once the product reaches the country of destination. You are responsible for determining whether there is any restriction on delivery of our products to your selected destination. You are also responsible for any duties, taxes or additional costs levied on your product at the time of importation, and for paying those costs. We recommend you contact your local customs authority or post office (where applicable) to learn more about customs restrictions and possible costs prior to placing an order.

    • Returns policy

      We hope you will be delighted with everything you have bought from us, but if you are unhappy with your products for any reason, you can return them to us in accordance with this returns policy.
      New Look stores in Republic of Ireland, France, Belgium and the Netherlands are unable to refund or exchange internet purchases, so customers outside of the UK can only return orders by post.

    • Returns to store - UK and Ireland only

      You can return any New Look products delivered to any UK address to any New Look UK store for a refund within 28 days after you receive the products. Branded items can be returned in our stores. Sale items returned to store within 14 days from the day after receipt can be refunded for the amount paid or exchanged. Sale items returned after this time are eligible for an exchange or credit only.

    • Returns by post

      Orders delivered to UK addresses must be returned by post within 28 days of receipt and orders to international addresses within 28 days from dispatch. The products are your responsibility until they reach our fulfilment centre.

      If you are returning products from outside the UK or Republic of Ireland you will be responsible for the cost of returning the products to us by post. UK returns are free via the Collect + service. Please see the dispatch note enclosed with your products. If products are returned by post, you should obtain proof of postage from the postal service you use. We recommend that you use a postal service that insures you for the value of the products you are returning. We will refund the full price you paid for the products, using the same method you used to pay for them. No exchanges can be made via the fulfilment centre (this is because we cannot guarantee stock levels due to expected high turnover of styles).

    • FREE returns via Collect+ (UK only)

      Collect+ is a free and convenient way to return parcels to New Look at 5,200 local neighbourhood stores that are open long hours, including evenings and weekends, so you can drop off your parcel at a time to suit you.

      You will receive proof of postage, insurance and an online tracking code, so that you can follow your parcel's progress back to us.

      Using Collect+ is easy, just follow these simple steps:

      1. Go to www.collectplus.co.uk/newlook to find your local store

      2. Follow the instructions to print off a returns label

      3. Securely attach the label to your parcel

      4. Drop off your parcel at ANY Collect+ store

      5. Track your parcel at www.collectplus.co.uk

    • Cancellation Rights

      You also have a right to cancel your order under the Distance Selling Regulations. If you wish to cancel you must tell us in writing or via the page here within 14 calendar days from the day after the date on which the products are delivered. You should keep evidence of having given your cancellation notice, such as a certificate of posting. You must return the products to us in accordance with these Terms of Sale. If you cancel your order you will be reimbursed the cost of items cancelled, plus postage if the entire order is cancelled (up to the value of New Look Standard Postage only), and you will be responsible for returning the goods to us at your own cost.

    • Reasonable care

      If you want to return or exchange your products, you must take reasonable care of them and they should be returned to us in their original condition, which means that:

      • You can open the packaging to look at and try on the products as you would in our store.

      • You mustn't try on the products wearing strong perfume/aftershave or a deodorant which may leave scent or marks on the products.

      • Shoes mustn't be worn outside and no scuffing should appear on the sole.

      • Hygiene strips must not be removed from from any items (for example swimwear).

      • Tags should not be removed from any item.

      • The original packaging should be retained and returned

      If you fail to take reasonable care of the products before returning them to us, you may have to compensate us. For health and hygiene reasons all briefs and pierced jewellery are non-refundable and cannot be returned. Our returns policy does not affect your statutory rights in respect of defective products.

    • Risk and title

      The products will be at your risk at the time that they enter into your possession or a person identified by you that is authorised to take possession of the products. Ownership of the products will only pass to you at the time of delivery or (if later) when we receive full payment of all sums due in respect of the products, including delivery charges.

    • WEEE compliance

      The UK’s Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) Regulations allows you to recycle your old electrical products, free of charge.

      In the UK, Government estimates show that we throw away over two million tonnes of electrical waste each year, mostly into landfill. Much of this waste can be recycled, and the resources recovered to make new consumer goods. The WEEE regulations aim to reduce the quantity of electrical and electronic items disposed of in this way, and will encourage everyone to play a part in protecting our environment for future generations.

      • ACCEPTABLE USE POLICY

        This acceptable use policy sets out the terms under which you may access NL Daily and the rules (Rules) which apply to all users of, and visitors to, NL Daily. Any submission of material by you to NL Daily means that you accept, and agree to abide by, all the terms and conditions of these Rules.

      • Moderation

        Our site is moderated. Every contribution submitted to our site (Contribution) will be checked by us for compliance with our content standards, below (Content Standards) as soon as reasonably practicable after it is published. We will try to publish as many Contributions as we can but we cannot guarantee that all Contributions will be published. We also cannot guarantee how quickly Contributions will be posted on NL Daily as this will depend on other editorial commitments.

        Although NL Daily is moderated, we are under no obligation to you or any other person to oversee, monitor or moderate NL Daily or any other service we provide on NL Daily and we may stop moderating NL Daily at any time. We reserve the right to remove, or to disable access to, any Contribution which we deem to be potentially defamatory of any person or which we deem unlawful or in violation of any third party rights. We expressly exclude our liability for any loss or damage arising from the use of our site by any person in contravention of these Rules.

      • Use of our site by minors

        The use of NL Daily by a minor is subject to the consent of their parent or guardian. We advise parents who permit their children to use NL Daily that it is important that they communicate with their children about their safety online.         • Be relevant.

        A Contribution must not:

        • Be defamatory of any person.

        • Be obscene, offensive, hateful or inflammatory.

        • Promote discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age.

        • Disclose the name, address, telephone, mobile or fax number, e-mail address or any other personal data in respect of any individual.

        • Infringe any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other person.

        • Breach any legal duty owed to a third party, such as a contractual duty or a duty of confidence.

        • Be in contempt of court.

        • Be likely to harass, upset, embarrass, alarm or annoy any other person.

        • Impersonate any person, or misrepresent your identity or affiliation with any person.

        • Give the impression that the Contribution emanates from New Look if this is not the case.

        • Advocate, promote, incite any third party to commit, or assist any unlawful or criminal act.

        • Contain a statement which you know or believe, or have reasonable grounds for believing, that members of the public to whom the statement is, or is to be, published are likely to understand as a direct or indirect encouragement or other inducement to the commission, preparation or instigation of acts of terrorism.

        • Contain any advertising or promote any services or web links to other sites.

      • Copyright

        By submitting a Contribution to NL Daily, you agree to grant New Look a non-exclusive licence to use that Contribution. Although you/the legal owner will still own the copyright in your Contribution, New Look will have the right to freely use, edit, alter, reproduce, publish and/or distribute the material contained in your Contribution. This licence will be free of charge, perpetual and capable of sub-licence. New Look may exercise all copyright and publicity rights in the material contained in your Contribution in all jurisdictions, to their full extent and for the full period for which any such rights exist in that material.

        Please also note that, in accordance with the Content Standards above, you must ensure that your Contribution does not infringe any copyright, database right or trade mark of any other person. By submitting your Contribution to NL Daily, you are warranting that you have the right to grant New Look the non-exclusive copyright licence described above.

        If you are not in a position to grant such a licence to New Look, please do not submit the Contribution to NL Daily.

      • Breach of these Rules

        When we consider that a breach of the Content Standards has occurred, we may at our discretion take such action as we deem appropriate. Failure to comply with these Rules constitutes a material breach of the terms of use on which you are permitted to use NL Daily, and may result in our taking all or any of the following actions:

        • Immediate, temporary or permanent withdrawal of your right to use NL Daily.

        • Immediate, temporary or permanent removal of any Contribution already posted on NL Daily.

        • Issue of a warning to you.

        • Legal proceedings against you for reimbursement of all costs on an indemnity basis (including, but not limited to, reasonable administrative and legal costs) resulting from the breach.

        • Further legal action against you.

        • Disclosure of such information to law enforcement authorities as we reasonably feel is necessary or as required by law.

        We exclude our liability for all action we may take in response to breaches of these Rules. The actions described above are not limited, and we may take any other action we reasonably deem appropriate.

        We will then review the Contribution and decide whether it complies with our Content Standards above. We will deal with any Contribution which, in our opinion, violates our Content Standards as described above (see section "Breach of these Rules").       • Changes to these Rules

        We may revise these Rules at any time. You are expected to check this page from time to time to take notice of any changes we make, as they are legally binding on you.
