The 5 Coats Everyone Should Have in Their Wardrobe

by Emma Menteath, Editorial Lead

Top of our agenda this coming winter is to wrap up and stay warm in our must-have coats. A good coat can form the basis of any wardrobe during the colder months. We’ve done the groundwork for you and rounded up our favourite coat styles to invest in this coming winter.

1. The Puffer Coat

The puffer coat emerged as a fashionista must-have on the street style scene a few seasons ago and has no intention of leaving us just yet. It’s the kind of coat that anyone can pull off no matter your age or style. In 2018 Lyst (a search engine that tracks what people are buying according to clicks), reported a 59% year-on-year rise in puffer searches. If that’s not enough to convince you I’m sure our £35.99 price point will.

2. The Faux Fur Coat

One sure way to stay toasty during what is set to be our coldest winter in a decade, is to cuddle up in a faux fur coat. A faux fur leopard print coat instantly makes any outfit look cool, think SJP in Sex and The City or classic Kate Moss style. Believe it or not, it will also go with pretty much everything you already in your wardrobe.

3. The Aviator Coat

The aviator is the trusted go-to coat when it comes to perfecting the model-off-duty look. With its oversized silhouette and soft faux fur lining,it makes looking good effortless. Team it with a midi skirt and biker boots to soften it up or go full Kendall Jenner in skinny jeans and an oversized hoodie.

4. The Collar Coat

Stay warm in one of our most popular coat styles of the season – the classic collar coat. This versatile coat comes in an array of colourways from simple neutrals to classic baby pink and can take you from desk to dinner with ease.

5. The Teddy Coat

Keep cosy in the must-have coat of the season, a coat you would no doubt have seen all over your Insta feeds on the likes of Hailey Bieber and Bella Hadid – the teddy coat. It’s no wonder our brand ambassador and TV star, Rochelle Humes, handpicked this coat as one of her looks to love. After all, it is winters most huggable coat.
