The Autumn Colour Palette We Can't Wait to Start Wearing

by Chloe Wilshere, Content Creator

We may be in the midst of a delightful random September heatwave, but let’s be honest, we’re all eagerly anticipating autumn coming around. And with autumn comes new season fashion trends and most importantly… new season colours.

Whilst neutrals, blacks and greys are inevitable every year, we’re sure you’re just as excited as we are to know which colours will dominate your autumn wardrobe so you can start snatching them up ASAP and be ahead of the curve. So,we’ve rounded up the 6 colours that are set to dominate the fashion scene this autumn, and we can’t wait to start wearing them.

Autumn outfit ideas in red

1. Red

We may be going into autumn, but things are sure to start getting hot around here when everyone takes on this colour of the season…The can’t-be-missed bold shade of red is officially back on the fashion radar, and we couldn’t be happier about it.

Nothing pops or makes a statement quite like red so it’s a tone you certainly don’t want to miss out on when investing in your autumn wardrobe.

Autumn outfit ideas in olive green

2. Olive Green

As the fashion scene looks more towards a sustainable future, it’s meant that shades of green have become a colour we all want to be associated with. And with every new season there’s a new shade of green in town and we’ve been loving it.

So, as autumn approaches, our soft sage greens we’ve loved this summer turn slightly warmer into a cosy olive green. Whether it’s a green check dress, knit jumper, trench coat or olive green leather trousers, we’re sure you’ll end up with an abundance of olive green items in your wardrobe before you know it.

Autumn monochrome outfit ideas

3. Mono

Whilst it doesn’t sound the most exciting, we all know that monochrome is one colour mix up we all wear at least several times a week. And although it’s nothing new, this season we’re excited about the new approach monochrome is taking.

Whilst you can keep to mixing black and white separates together, this season it’s all about black and white prints and patterns. From checks to dogtooth to a classic polka dot and our all-time favourite… the black and white colour-block joggers , it’s safe to say we’re excited for this new season take on monochrome.

Autumn outfit ideas in amber colour

4. Amber

As the leaves start to turn crisp and Halloween is suddenly on the approach, we all start to think about those all-important autumnal orange hues and want to incorporate them into our lives wherever possible.

This season, shades of amber are all you need to own to give your wardrobe that colourful new season update. It’s the perfect colour to pair with any neutrals in your wardrobe - after all, we know you’ve got an abundance of them.

Autumn outfit ideas in sapphire blue

5. Sapphire Blue

Go bold blue or go home… this statement sapphire blue shade is not made for the faint of heart and we couldn’t be more obsessed with it.

With Pantone having made it its colour of the year, sapphire blue is a shade you certainly don’t want to miss out on in your autumnal wardrobe this season. Oh, and did we mention how great it looks paired with our other favourite colour of the season, amber?

6. Pine Green

Green, green, green and more green, it’s the colour of the season after all. Now we’ve already mentioned olive green, but you certainly don’t want to miss out on pine green, either. Earthy and forest-inspired, it’s the great-outdoors shade we didn’t realise we needed and we’ll certainly start snapping it up ASAP.

Whether you pair it back with brown, black or white pieces, it’s a shade you’re sure to be living in this season.
