How To Celebrate Christmas at Home Like Bridget Jones
by Chloe Wilshere, Content Creator
When it comes to Christmas films yes there’s the classics from The Holiday to Love Actually and Home Alone, but there’s one that we’ll be watching on repeat this festive season and that is, of course, Bridget Jones’ Diary.
Although it often sparks up a debate as to whether or not it actually is a Christmas film, us New Lookers are firm believers that Bridget Jones’ Diary deserves a place in the festive film category (and arguably it’s also the best one of the lot) because, at the end of the day, if there’s a Christmas jumper featured then it is definitely a Christmas film.
It might have been 19 years since Bridget Jones’ Diary first aired on the big screen, but there’s something about it that feels more relevant than ever before given the year we’ve all been through. With the plot following Bridget’s agony over being single during the festive period - whether it’s your partner, friends, or family you’re missing - it’s safe to say we can all relate to that sense of loneliness this Christmas.
So, if you’re looking for ways to keep your mind occupied this holiday season, we’ve taken advice from Bridget Jones, the woman herself, on how to celebrate the festive season at home.
