Who's Wearing What

20 of the Best Festival Looks

by Chloe Wilshere, Content Creator

If you’re anything like me, you’ll be gutted that festival season isn’t going ahead and you can’t plan your multiple festival looks. The sound of music thumping in the distance as you’re on your way to a festival is something I think we’re all craving right now and it will certainly be missed. But most of all, we’ll certainly miss festival fashion.

Festival outfits give you the perfect chance in the year to dress up in clothes you would never dare wear to any other occasion and you can go wild experimenting with your hair and makeup.

So this year, whilst reminiscing about what could have been, we’ve rounded up our favourite celebrity festival looks through the years, some of which we can’t wait to recreate when festival season is finally back up and running; and who knows, maybe we’ll recreate them for a festival in our garden , too.

1. Alexa Chung, Glastonbury 2016

It doesn’t get much more iconic than seeing what celebrities wear to a mud-filled Glastonbury. And Alexa Chung at Glastonbury in 2016 wearing a jumper dress - which looks like her nan may have knitted for the event - with a rain jacket over the top and knee-high wellies is one of our all-timefavourites.

2. Shanina Shaik, Coachella 2019

Shanina Shaik’s brightly-coloured floral mini dress is what we were all dreaming of wearing to festivals this year. Styled with round mini 90s sunglasses and chunky boots, I guess it’s a look we’ll all have to save for next year.

3. Victoria Justice, Coachella 2019

Western dressing and festivals go hand in hand. And Victoria Justice nailed minimal western dressing at last year’s Coachella. Denim shorts with a metallic crochet top and all-western accessories; we’ll remember this look when planning our outfits next year.

4. Leona Lewis, Isle of Wight Festival 2017

We loved Leona Lewis’ simple, fashionable-yet-practical outfit which she wore to Isle of Wight Festival in 2017. Double denim is always a festival go-to, and the long socks are perfect for if the weather’s a bit cooler.

5. Elsa Hosk, Coachella 2017

When it comes to festival looks, this is up there as one of our favourites. Nothing beats a satin slip dress and we love how Elsa Hosk has styled it with biker boots, a western belt and a leather baker boy hat.

6. H.E.R, Coachella 2018

Cargo pants have long been a festival-wear essential and American Singer H.E.R styles them effortlessly with a bandeau top and chunky sandals.

7. Olivia Culpo, Coachella 2018

Olivia Culpo is the queen of festival fashion, her festival looks are always on point and we look forward to seeing them each year. So, overall we’re gutted that we haven’t seen what she was going to pull out the bag this year. But, her 2018 look is not one to forget: crochet and lace dresses are essentials in festival wear.

8. Poppy Delevingne, Glastonbury 2013

Poppy Delevingne attends Glastonbury on an almost yearly basis and her festival looks are always on point. In 2013 we particularly loved her boho-inspired outfit. Denim shorts, an embroidered T-shirt and Native American inspired boots, a festival outfit we’ll certainly never forget.

9. Aimee Song, Coachella 2018

Festival outfits should revolve around two things: embellishment and logo T-shirts. And Aimee Song nailed those two trends in one look at Coachella in 2018. A festival outfit that we’d probably wear to the shops too…

10. Jourdan Dunn, Coachella 2017

Two-piece co-ords are festival staples. Key for comfort and are lightweight - so great for festivals when sunshine is guaranteed. And Jourdan Dunn looks like a ray of sunshine in this yellow two-piece she wore to Coachella in 2017.

11. Jorja Smith, Coachella 2018

Festival outfits can be simple too, and Jorja Smith shows us just that. Whilst performing at Coachella in 2018 she took to the stage in a beautiful blue crochet dress, and simply let the dress do the talking with minimal accessories.

12. Shanina Shaik, Coachella 2018

We all love the opportunity to wear a fun print to a festival and Shanina Shaik is no different. Attending Coachella in a star printed jumpsuit, it’s an easy-to-wear piece that was always going to look great at a festival.

13. Aimee Song, Coachella 2019

If you love all things girly and prefer to wear something more sophisticated to a festival, then Aimee Song should be your inspiration for future festivals. Her white maxi skirt with scarf printed blouse and strappy sandals offers bohemian vibes and is a festival look we definitely want to copy in the future.

14. Laura Whitmore, Glastonbury 2016

Laura Whitmore always leaves us wanting to copy her festival looks. She nails boho-chic and her festival outfit to Glastonbury in 2016 was no different. A printed flowy blouse and denim shorts with across-body bag is super simple and elegant and an outfit we’d even wear for the everyday.

15. Hailey Bieber, Coachella 2017

Hailey Bieber channels cool-girl energy everywhere she goes and festivals are certainly no different. A simple crop logo tee with denim shorts and chunky boots is the outfit we need to copy in future. We also need a pair of those diamanté tights.

16. Leigh-Anne Pinnock, V Festival 2017

If there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that festivals are all about diamantés and glitter and Leigh-Anne Pinnock’s glitzy festival look is certainly one we’ll never forget. Best you know that at next year’sfestivals we’ll be doubling up on the glitter and diamonds to make up for the ones we missed.

17. Jasmine Sanders, Coachella 2019

Crochet for festivals will always be on trend. And we particularly loved Jasmine Sanders’ nude crochet two-piece she wore to Coachella last year.

18. Sienna Miller, Glastonbury 2013

Sienna Miller has long been the queen of boho dressing at festivals. And we particularly loved thehigh-low floral midi dress she wore to Glastonbury in 2013.

19. Dua Lipa, Glastonbury 2019

Dua Lipa has been providing us with looks we’ll never forget ever since she entered the A-List world - and her many outfits from Glastonbury last year are no different. We particularly loved her futuristic festival look, which consisted of colour-block utility trousers and a diamanté detail bra.

20. Paris Berelc, Coachella 2019

We’re gutted that we can’t pull out our glittery-fringed jacket from the back of our wardrobe for a festival this year. But when we can go to festivals again next year, we’ll certainly be styling it like Paris Berelc with some leather shorts and a mesh top.
