Who’s Wearing What

Killing Eve is Back! Here's a Look Back at Our Favourite Fashion Moments From the Show

by Emma Menteath, Editorial Lead

After a year’s wait, the hit TV show, Killing Eve, has finally returned to our screens for season 3. Whether you’re a fan watching week by week or are anxiously awaiting the full series release (hello weekend binge-watching) there’s one thing that unites us all - that we can’t wait to see what Villanelle will be wearing in the new season.

It was the bubblegum pink tulle dress worn by Villanelle in season 1 that first heralded Villanelle as an on-screen fashion icon alongside style heroines like Carrie Bradshaw and Serena van der Woodsen. Before Villanelle, we thought of assassins in leather and latex, but, in true Killing Eve style, the series breaks all rules and we get an assassin in silk kimonos and statement shoulders. And we love that!

So to honour the latest season, here’s a look back at the show’s greatest style moments - and a sneak peak at Villanelle’s season 3 wardrobe. Which look is your favourite?

1. The Unexpected Biker Look

Forget leather leggings and biker jackets, Villanelle instead opts for a breezy blouse, cut-off denim shorts and lace-up boots as her go-to biker look.

2. The Day Date Dress

Don’t ever underestimate the cute day dress for your next ice cream date - fingers crossed we’ll be allowed out before the end of summer. Take cue from Villanelle and wear a day dress with canvas sneakers and slicked black hair with a cute scrunchie.

3. The 'It' Dress

Ask any Killing Eve fan what they think of when asked about Villanelle’s style and they’ll mention the OTT bubblegum pink dress designed by Molly Goddard in season 1.

4. The Must-Have Prison Get-Up

Villanelle embraces the ultimate stay-at-home look in her matching prison getup, topped off perfectly with her 90s-inspired bandana.

5. The Too-Small Pyjama’s

Not exactly the most discreet outfit for quietly slipping out the back door, but that’s what we love about Villanelle's eccentric sense of style. There’s always something surprising to look forward to.

6. The Horse Suit

Despite her look, there’s no ‘horsing’ about here, Villanelle shows us that wearing a matching suit does not have to look boring or dull. Opt for a fun print and layer over a colourful blouse. What better way to brighten your work day?

7. Our Next Halloween Costume

The rare occasion where a costume is actually a costume in Killing Eve. Come October the 31st we too will be embracing the sexy maid’s outfit with a piggy twist.

8. Cool Professor

A look we can’t wait to copy come the Autumn chills. Paperbag trousers and a cable knit jumper all in head-to-toe tones.

9. Evening Chic

Be inspired by Villanelle’s blood-spilling outfit for your first extravagant dinner date out - a sheer all black dress with ruffle detailing, complemented perfectly with slicked back hair and red lips.

10. Double Standards

Villanelle proves to us that the only rule when wearing print on print is to do it with confidence.

11. The Waist-Cinching Belt

Take note from Villanelle and style your matching suit with a waist cinching belt for an elegant hourglass look.

12. The Silk Kimono

If there’s one look Villanelle has embraced throughout each season of Killing Eve, it’s the kimono. We love this blue kimono look made extra cool with her undercover pink hair.

13. Welcome to The 60s

Villanelle takes on Barcelona in season 3 in a printed tunic dress and cowboy boots – a look we’ll definitely be copying this spring.

14. Statement Shoulders

Villanelle often sways towards tailoring, and season 3 is no different. This season watch her strutting her stuff in a statement suit with power woman shoulder pads.

15. The Matching Suit

A bold 70s look that only few could pull off. Ideal for any spy that doesn’t mind standing out.

16. The Floral Sightseeing Dress

If ever there was a dress to take on the ever-so-popular bubblegum pink dress back in season 1, this would be it. A slightly softer look with floral detailing teamed white mules and a woven tote, we’d sure like to sight see in this outfit.

17. Silk Pyjama’s

One thing we’ve learnt over the last few weeks is how to perfect the loungewear look. Villanelle ups the game with her matching silk pyjamas - lounging on sofas never looked this good.

18. Go For Green

Forget boring chinos and golf shirts, instead Villanelle opts for an all-green outfit for playing golf in season 3.
