Who's Wearing What

Why the Spotlight is on Paris Hilton and These 00s Looks

by Adam Fletcher, Copywriter

She might look like a sweet and simple gal on the outside, but Paris Hilton has always been a fierce force to be reckoned with. And, RN, she’s upped the ante all over *again*, and added another string to her bow. She’s a YouTube starlet.

Yup, to celebrate the release of the eagerly anticipated This Is Paris, a YouTube Originals documentary all about, you guessed it, Paris’s IRL experiences, we’ve rounded up the heiress’s hottest looks to date. Expect to see satin tracksuits, a Swarovski-embellished dress, and styles that will make you wanna scream “sanasa, sanasa ”.

Plus, to help you pull off a Paris-friendly look at home, don’t forget to check out the fash in the carousel at the bottom.  We’ve included, of course, millennial pink must-haves, matching loungewear sets and check-print dresses that *need* to be paired with a pet/toy Chihuahua. Loves it…

1. Mesh Fabrics

Fact: if you want to make your wardrobe look and feel more ‘Hilton’, just add wayyy more multi-coloured mesh fabric. Trust, whether it was in the early 90s or late 00s, organza was always a big part of Paris’s outfits.

2. That Orange and Blue Dress

An iconic dress? We’re talking about the kind of frock that you’ll always be remembered for now, and in years to come. Paris’s most memorable dress would have to be… the orange-and blue version that she wore to the Teen Choice Awards in 2003.

3. Iconic Slogan Tee's

Slogan tees are classic Paris Hilton style. What kind of print was her absolute wardrobe fave? Hint: think less ‘I ❤New York’, and more ‘I ❤ shoes, bags and boys’. Duh. 😉

4. The White Tassel Dress

Paris is known for carrying her white Pomeranian everywhere, but a white tassel dress is what you’ll find her floating about in. And, what better pieces to buddy it up with than strappy sandals and a baguette bag?

5. Queen of Slopes Style

Category is… Après ski. We’re not sure if Paris actually hit the slopes before this picture was taken but, thanks to these fluffy boots, puffy gilet and padded satin trousers, we’re totally buying into the fantasy that she did.

6. That 21st Birthday Dress

We’ve changed our mind... The most iconic dress that Paris owns would have to be this Julien Macdonald number. The fact that Kendall Jenner wore a replica on her 21st birthday must be one of the reasons why we’re rethinking everything.

7. Queen of Everything Pink

Think pink. Paris and Nicole might have been on a farm (here, they were filming episodes of The Simple Life), but that didn’t stop them from wearing all-pink looks complete with designer sunglasses and diamond earrings.

8. Mini Skirts

Nothing says “Paris Hilton” quite like a mini skirt. Whether it’s denim, leather-look or printed, Paris’s signature looks always seem to include this skirt length. To finish the look, don’t forget to add some Paris Hilton merch.

9. Tummy Baring Ensembles

If it’s not mid-riff baring, or able to expose a belly button piercing, is Paris even planning on wearing it? Nope. And, by that, we mean a crop-top-and-mini-skirt combos that feature lace fabrics and low-cut designs.

10. Cinderella Moments

She might look as though she just stepped out of a fairy-tale book, but this look is 100% real. And SO, so cute. Paris managed to perfect the skill of dressing like Cinderella, whatever the occasion, and we’re here for it.

11. Our Beach Ready Muse

The answer to “what to wear to the beach” when you’re Miss Paris Hilton? A matching pink bikini and sarong, a quilted bag and glittery peep-toe stilettos, naturally. That’s hot…

12. Statement Hats

When her long, golden locks aren’t fully on display, you can often find them peeping out from under a designer hat. For this look, we love how her bakerboy cap almost matches her trousers.

13. 70's Vibes

Vintage vibes, incoming. If Paris isn’t dressing like a modern-day princess, she’s adding throwback pieces to her style – particularly from the 50s and 70s. Never one to do it by halves, she always fully commits to a specific decade from head to toe.

14. Always Red Carpet Ready

When it comes to staying red carpet-ready, a pink dress with shiny embellishments, corset design and slit details will do just the trick. Look, if you know what colour works for you (pink), just keep wearing it.
