Building Brighter Futures with The Prince’s Trust

Today marks International Youth Day (12 August) and we couldn’t think of a better time to tell you about our work with The Prince’s Trust , an amazing charity that helps young people build brighter futures through employment, education and enterprise.

With exam results season here, let’s kick things off with some confidence-boosting words from The Prince’s Trust and our very own team, as well as two young people supported by the charity, in a video that takes you behind the scenes of our eight-year partnership…

We’re proud to be part of Get Into Retail, the Prince’s Trust’s three-week employability programme. Since joining in 2015, we’ve helped over 300 young people get their foot in the door.

We’re also funding 10 of The Prince’s Trust’s Development Awards, which help young people starting new careers cover course and equipment fees, as well as travel expenses. Read more here .

Now, fancy something new for your wardrobe that does good and looks good, too? We’re launching a limited-edition run of charity pieces as part of the annual Prince’s Trust Million Makers fundraising challenge. This sees companies all across the UK come together to raise over £1 million. Last year, New Look raised an impressive £182k for the initiative, but this year we hope to go even bigger!

You might’ve spotted our ‘All We Need Is Love’ charity tees in store and online already, and there’s a matching sweatshirt and bracelet coming in September, too. 100% of profits will go to The Prince’s Trust, but if they’re not your style, you can make a monetary donation with our Just Giving page.
