positive local impact

Acting locally and giving back has always been important to us. Each year we work with a range of inspirational charities on a national and local level – this helps us support people and protect the planet through the amazing work they do.
On top of that, we're using our local New Look stores to bring communities closer by championing inclusivity, accessibility and networking in all our stores.

Our Pledges

Our pledges to localise charitable giving, bring communities closer, empower store employees to join community network groups and support accessible shopping

Our Charities

The Prince's Trust

We first joined forces with The Prince's Trust back in 2013. The organisation supports vulnerable young people across the UK aged 11 to 30 with programmes, tools and financial assistance. This support helps transform their lives by opening up new job, education and training opportunities.

LGBT Foundation

We’ve partnered with LGBT Foundation, a charity delivering advice, support and information services to LGBTQIA+ communities. In fact, our 2021 Pride charity collection raised over £80k to help fund LGBT Foundation’s volunteering programme.

In line with our commitment to fight climate change, we’ve also partnered with Tree-Nation. Planting trees has been proven to be one of the most efficient solutions to climate change, and thanks to its reforestation and conservation projects, Tree-Nation is helping to restore forests, create jobs, support local communities, and protect biodiversity.

As our industry charity, our relationship with the Retail Trust goes back many years. The Retail Trust provides support, tools and resources to empower everybody involved in retail to take control of their wellbeing and lead a healthier, happier life.

Our Circularity Partners

We’ve teamed up with four charity circularity partners to increase the lifespan of our clothes and tech. They include Hospice UK and Re-Fashion who’ll find your old items new homes so they can be re-used and re-loved, as well as who gift our donated second-hand laptops to people who need them most.

Our collaboration with Hospice UK is part of our mission to continue to make fashion feel good. Hospice UK provide care for those suffering from life-shortening illnesses, while supporting their friends and family, too. As well as helping the charity, donating any pre-loved fashion will reduce landfill waste and help local high streets.

We’ve joined forces with Re-Fashion to help you say goodbye to the clothes you no longer wear. As well as giving your unwanted items a new life, we’ve partnered with Tree-Nation, a charity focused on protecting the environment by reforesting the world. We’re planting a tree for every filled bag donated, so there’s never been a better time for a clear out.

We’ve been teamed up with Newlife for well over a decade. The charity helps disabled and terminally ill children across the UK, and we play our part by donating clothes we can’t sell at our regular sample sales. Over the years, this partnership has helped increase the lifespan of the garments, while supporting the great work the charity does.

In 2021, we collaborated with to help vulnerable people in the UK access the internet, beat isolation and reduce digital exclusion by donating our second-hand laptops. So far, we’ve gifted over 900 working laptops to people who need them the most, including refugees, the homeless and people in care homes. It helps reduce the amount of electrical waste that goes into landfill, too.
